New Idea For Hockey Forum: Need Responses!

Am thinking of starting new idea for hockey forums: a daily thread for each, individual match-up. Bettors will be able to post their write-ups, opinions, information, selections, late line moves, late injuries, goalie changes, etc. for each game in one thread, making it more efficient for others who are interested in only that particular game. Naturally, the more people who are involved, the better it is for everyone. If get decent response we can try for a few days to work out kinks. I will try to post the threads the night before, so if anyone has info for the game(s) they can post to take advantage of the overnight(s). As far as I know this concept hasn’t been attempted before, but think it’s a great idea. Appreciate any feedback since I’m growing weary of working for $1 an hour. Will post a game this morning to use as an example.

Sounds like an excellent idea. A viable way to share information on a game by game basis, much better than piecemeal posts regarding just a single game or player. IMO.

to have a thread/link that is "sticky".Iow,
one that will stay at the top of the page
no matter how many new posts are made into
other threads.You could put your hockeyzone
link/vital info there.should generate more page

However, this has been tried in other forums with (IMO) limited or no success.

People want to post their own threads.

QS185 IS CORRECT. we tried this in college football and nfl forums before with VERY limited success.

well, those other forums/sites didnt have bb's dogged persistence, determination, never-say-die attitude to make it work!

oh, well. worst case scenario is i can work out the bugs trying to figure out how to make it work somewhere else down the road...

I will still post my own thread but I think these game threads could be used to post pertinent info. For instance, I just post my plays and not the stats that support and I wouldn't mind posting stats in another thread.

But it definately is up to us to make it work. There are enough people here actively playing hockey games so we should be able to get some good discussion going.

Let's give it a try.

 

another suggestion which would make the concept even better would be to have guys attach links to the local paper's sports section/related story for each game!

idea has merits but probably something to look at for another site for next year. will take many guys all working together - not easy to find in this business.

Great idea- I've always liked the hockey horum the most out of all the forums. No BS is allowed here and the most knowledgeable cappers.
